Abstract


The research objective was to identify leadership styles and their effects on teacher performance. The analysis tool uses a range of scales and a simple linear regression analysis. Data collection methods used in the questionnaire a list of all the 38 teacher respondents (teachers). Results of calculations performed with a range of scales can be seen that style into the category of transformational leadership. Performance concluded that higher teacher performance.
Can be concluded that the leadership style variable (X) together have a strong relationship to the performance of teachers (Y) with correlation coefficient (R) equal 0.867. From the results of t test, known value of 10.420 t count> t table value of 1.684 which resulted in decisions against Ho refused and Ha is received with an error rate of 5%. This means that the transformational leadership style (X) has a significant impact on teacher performance.
In connection with these results, school principals should improve teacher performance by applying the potential of transformational leadership style effectively and increasing attention diindividualkan (from results of respondent's answer), of the four indicators of transformational leadership style is: charisma, inspiration, intellectual stimulation and attention diindividualkan can improve teacher performance.
