PERANAN PROMOSI TERHADAP PENJUALAN PADA PERUSAHAAN KECAP KANGKUNG TUBAN

Abstract


Nowadays, the development of business in Indonesia get wider, this was seen by many companies in every region that increase the competition between companies. To make the company competitive, it would be better for the company to take care of his products, especially for product qualities. In taking the sell decision, buyers always faced to price matters, quality and brand from the products offered. This is a chance for every company to get profit with all ways. Selling promotion is efforted to get buyers which changes his brands all time, so selling promotion is efforted to stimulate respond in short ways. Specifically, this research matter is : (1) How much promotion cost and selling value at Kangkung Ketchup Company Tuban ? (2) Is there any relation between promotion value and selling value for at Kangkung Ketchup Company Tuban. This research is aimed to (1) To find out the promotion cost and selling value at Kangkung Ketchup Company Tuban ? (2) To find out about relation between promotion value and selling value for at Kangkung Ketchup Company Tuban. This research could be used for : (1) For company as a calculated factors in taking decision related with marketing, especially related with promotion, (2) Could be used as an advices in the next research. The Hypothesis in this research stated that there is a relation between promotion values and selling values.
Location at Kangkung Ketchup Tuban which located at Jl. Dr. Sutomo 2 Tuban. This location was token by purposive bcause this company is one of older company at Tuban. Tuban is also famous with its Ketchup because there are many Ketchup company inside it. Data collected includes : (1) Primary Data is a data from its source ; (2) Secondary Data is an indirect data which collected from its source by documentation or seeing the company?s report about promotion value and selling value.
Cost analyzing method which used is descriptive analytic and statistic. To find out the average promotion and selling value, there were used rorecasting and moving average : To find out about relation between promotion and selling value, there were used corelation test rank by Spearman : rs= .
According to forecasting analyzes and moving average on promotion and sales at every month is Rp 1.413.182. Selling value is Rp 8.074.183.600 and monthly average is Rp 367.008.345.

In Rank Spearman analyzes, if rs = 1 ; between promotion and selling shows positive relation. If rs = -1, there will be a total negative relation between promotion and selling. By Rank Spearman analyzes, will be known if rs  1, that is 0,172. There will be a positive relation between promotion value and selling value.

The conclussion of this research are :
- Promotion average every month is Rp 1.1423.182
- Selling value average for every month is Rp 367.008.345
- From Rank Spearman analyzes, will be known that rs  1, that is 0,172, there will be a positive connection between promotion and selling value.
