Abstract


This research was conducted operational audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing function in the travel services company MJ Travel Malang.
Goal of this research is to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing function in travel services company MJ Travel Malang and to know the factors that impeded the achievement of the target in the marketing function at MJ Travel Services Company Malang.
This research data processed using the stage in the audit, the preliminary audit, and review and test over the control of company management, and advanced audit or examination with a detailed technical criteria, causes, effects and provide recommendations. This study focused only on the marketing area that includes the marketing environment, marketing strategy, marketing organization, marketing systems, marketing and productivity.
Results of this research show that implementation of the marketing function in the MJ Travel Malang has not entirely run effectively, but has been implemented efficiently. Part that has not been assessed are effective strategies to compete in the efficiency and function of the Marketing Organization
Based on the conclusion that there is, then the suggestions can be given for the company MJ Travel Malang need to do the identification of competitors and the company through internal SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threath)
