IMPLEMENTASI INTEGRASI ILMU DI PERGURUAN TINGGI ISLAM (Studi Kasus di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang)

Abstract


ABSTRACT
The research aimed to describe implementation of science integration in UIN Maulana Malik
Ibrahim Malang. Besides, it also described supporting and inhibiting factors in science
integration application in the university.
The research used qualitative approach with research subject the Head of UIN Maulana Malik
Ibrahim University, Vice-Leader of Academic Department, Vice-Dean of Academic Department,
and Mudir Ma?had Sunan Ampel Al-Ali. UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was chosen as
research location since there was information that the university had done science integration.
Data collection was done through observation, interview, and documentation. While data
analysis used qualitative model data analysis, they were data reduction, data display, and
conclusion.
The research showed: (1) Science build of UIN Malang used ?Science Tree? metaphor, (2)
science integration application used three phases, they were: strengthen the Arabic and English
competence, creating Islamic science and scientification of Islam. Three of them formed by
pesantren and college tradition, also build LKQS institution, (3) supporting factor owed
normative based and supporting institution like ma?had and LKQS, (4) inhibiting factors: Arabic
mastering and lecturers were also studying.
